I received a lovely email today from Mrs. Rik Pierce of Frogmorton.com

I have been reflecting on my experience at the Chicago Miniature show and with that, I decided to send the Pierces an email. I wanted to let them know how very happy I was to have met them and what an inspiration they were to me, as a newcomer in the world of miniatures. I also shared with them the Tiny Dwelling blog, so they could read and see first hand, how I enjoyed meeting them at the show.  Not really expecting a reply, today in my “inbox” I had an email from Mrs. Pierce!

It seems they too, were happy to have met me at the show!

Here are a few of her excerpts from the email:

Hello Rebecca!

You are a breath of fresh air to the miniature world! Where do you get all your stamina to do soooo much?! Your story was delightful and I really enjoyed reading your account of the Chicago show and viewing your many photos. We were pleased to talk with you, and you are welcome to visit us in our home if you are ever in the Vancouver WA area.

You are a very interesting young lady and I’m sure your enthusiasm will take you far in whatever avenue you pursue. We wish you well and hope to see more of your beautiful work in the future.

Fondly,

Marcia Pierce

If you’re reading this Marcia, thank you for your lovely reply, I so appreciate your kind words!

Mr. Pierce, perhaps my sharing of our meeting, just might be the little extra encouragement to help you continue to make progress with his healing.

  1. Love these pictures Rebecca. I love your set up with all your miniatures at the show. Your doll house looks so good. That was smart putting it in a case. Can’t wait to see the pictures of the inside. The picture of the little bunny in the chair is so cute. Does the person that made it have a website or easy store?
So glad your Doll Show was successful I knew it would be. Your miniatures are wonderful and as you know I am a fan!

    1. Hi Cathy,
Please excuse the delay with my response. I will admit, I do not dedicate the required time to the Tiny Dwelling Blog, as I initially intended.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate your thoughts and value your comments.
I think my table set up may have had a few show goers in a visual “overload”, I was excited and I didn’t apply my own real life approach, that being “Less is More”, well…… I think that approach went straight out the window for my table display!!! Overall a wonderful first miniature show experience, I’m pleased to say, The Miniature Show is holding a spot for me for 2017!!
As for the little bunny, the maker is the same man whom resides in England, only shows his work at a few select shows, he will also be at the 2017 show…. I mentioned in my previous message, that I had discovered a person to create a little bear, complete with tiny clothes and a hat, well….. that individual also fell through, also international…

Perhaps next April, should I return to the shows, I can send you photos of tiny bears and rabbits from the man in England for your to see, and with your approval, I can purchase and ship something to you??? Participating in the show was wonderful, however, I will admit, I also very much enjoyed shopping for a few select miniatures as well…
I have a few FUN miniature ideas I’m working on for this Autumn and Winter, so stay tuned…….

      Rebecca

  2. Hello Cathy,

Thank you for all your kind words, I truly appreciate each and everyone of them..

The miniature shows were so much FUN, I’m already looking forward to going next year!
As for the little bunny in the chair, unfortunately the man who created it, does not have a website or Etsy shop, he exclusively participates in miniature shows, he resides in England. I thought I regretted not purchasing one of his little bears while at the show, so I decided to contacted him via email, sadly, he wasn’t all that thrilled to help me. Luckily, I discovered another person to create a little bear for me, when complete, this little bear will be wearing tiny clothes and a HAT!
I’m hoping to use the little bear within some of the shops listing photos, so keep an eye out for him, in the coming weeks!

Thank you for your continued support of Tiny Dwelling.
    Gratefully,
    Rebecca
